It is important to pay homage to this great manager and legend of the Premier league.. He saw Arsenal rise to its pinnacle, given I have not live long enough to watch other eras of this club!! On that note the champions league final is the pinnacle accompanied by the unbeaten season.

Also the resistance to change transfer policy and I suppose wage structure that stopped the club from making the big signings that were transforming the other title contenders may have contributed to the slight decline in this clubs reputation.
ALSO the 10-2 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich an absolute faux pad for any big European club.
However post Wenger certain problems have proven recurring. Firstly the January period that has perennially haunted Arsenal seems to be here to stay.
This is because the team is top heavy, even if Koscielny stay it leaves difficulties when he injured and with him wanting an exit it adds even more pressure. MUSTAFI AND GABRIAL, won’t be able to cover the gap and the quality of Premier league attacks is improving. Everton having newly acquired Moise Kean and Joelington to Newcastle shows that many teams will be looking to challenge rather than be dominated.
Arsenal have recruited well upfront and have a case for best attack in the league at the moment, with the addition of Nicolas Pepe, and midfielder Danny Ceballos brings much need quality in the middle of the park.
That being said I would come back to my second concern and that is of player management. If you recall Ledley King an imposing defender at Tottenham who had knee problems. The club managed to ease his training regimen to reduce the likely hood of training.
Resting players when possible 4-0 up, weaker opposition in Cup games and that OK from the medical team when a player is 100% these must be rectified if Arsenal is to progress…
These are the two key issues that linger post Wenger….
