Honestly we have all seen games that have been effectively ended as a contest as the result of a second yellow card.

Perhaps even questionable red cards, but in this new adaptation I believe we have a practical improvement. Although it seems to be primarily for the purpose of adding descipline to the game and reducing descent…

The applications of this rule good be expanded like I mentioned earlier in intense games where players may place heavy challenges early in a game a sin bin for a challenge rather than a sending off? Could be an extremely pragmatic interpretation of desciplinary action..

This in addition to the VAR systems that have been widely adopted across the footballing world will inevitably result to better desciplinary action from the officials and I’m interested to see how far they intend to take it.

On a final albeit personal idea, I am of the view of a bonus point system for scoring three/four goals in a game. This would encourage attacking football and give a chance for a losing team to take a point from a game if they managed to score a reasonable amount of goals.
